Royal Archive · Geography & Cosmology

Places & Realms

Trace the kingdoms, roads between worlds, lost regions, pilgrimage routes, and moving landmarks that make the Canticle universe larger with every book.

How the Worlds Fit Together

The archive treats ordinary realms, trapped pieces of realms, and transit spaces separately. The Canticle Kingdom and Burgenring are worlds; the Frozen Mountain is displaced geography; Middlespace is the road between worlds; and Telegro’s Sanctuary moves through Burgenring rather than remaining fixed in one location.

Open the Map

The Canticle Kingdom

The enchanted home at the heart of the series, mysteriously contained within the Müller music box.

Middlespace

The white transit realm linking worlds—and one of the most dangerous places to become stranded.

Burgenring

The larger realm of many peoples, magical gifts, pilgrimage traditions, and threatened borders.

The Frozen Mountain

A piece of Burgenring once physically removed from its world and sealed inside the Frozen Globe.

The Sansomnian Lands

Sleepless communities preserve pilgrim traditions, ancient translating masks, and charts of the moving Sanctuary.

The Dolorii Tree-City

A fearless culture builds homes, palaces, ropeways, and religious towers high among enormous trees.

Telegro’s Sanctuary

A moving island of seven bells and seven guarded secrets—royal palace, holy destination, and prison in the sky.

More location entries will eventually add castles, villages, forests, historical Earth locations, Centerspace, hidden towers, and other sites across the chronicles.
