What Is the Sanctuary?
Telegro’s Sanctuary is a floating island that circles Burgenring according to a complex route spanning years. Its constant motion turns access into a pilgrimage: those who seek the Exalted One must calculate where the island will pass and then find a way to reach it.
Seven Bells Below, Seven Secrets Above
Seven great bells hang from chains beneath the island. Across Burgenring, different cultures interpret those bells through their own traditions—sometimes as symbols of holiness, sometimes as warnings of judgment. Telegro also keeps seven intelligent Ravens near the Sanctuary, each connected to one of the Seven Secrets that can grant extraordinary power.
Palace, Temple, and Prison
To the people below, the Sanctuary is the unreachable home of a near-divine ruler. To Telegro, it is also a prison. He did not originate in Burgenring and cannot simply abandon his office. That tension explains why the island feels both glorious and lonely: it is the highest seat of authority in the realm and a place its ruler is unable to leave freely.
