What Is the Dolorii Tree-City?

The Dolorii city seems to reject the ground. Homes, halls, walkways, and palaces rise among enormous trees while ropes stretch through the open air between structures. Citizens swing, climb, and leap across distances that make outsiders dizzy.

The city’s architecture is possible because the Dolorii do not experience fear as other peoples do. Risk therefore becomes part of ordinary movement, and skill in navigating the heights becomes a measure of belonging.

Bells Woven into Daily Life

Bells appear everywhere in Dolorii culture—from embroidered ranks on clothing to communal calls to prayer. At the center of the city stands a massive tree supporting a palace complex, while above the trees rises the even more ambitious tower built to reach the path of Telegro’s Sanctuary.

When Fearlessness Becomes Dangerous

The city demonstrates both the beauty and danger of the Dolorii gift. Their courage produces spectacular feats of engineering and movement, but their lack of fear can also remove a natural restraint against extremism. Under the Council of Tones, the same culture capable of astonishing hospitality becomes willing to treat sacrifice as a practical religious tool.
