The Frozen Mountain is a piece of Burgenring that was removed from its native world and sealed inside the object known as the Frozen Globe. Generations live within that isolation, gradually treating imprisonment as geography rather than realizing their homeland has been physically separated from the larger world.

The mountain’s inhabitants encounter an unseen limit they cannot cross. Witter studies that boundary like a scientific problem, while religious and political leaders interpret the same confinement through prophecy, authority, and fear. The barrier therefore becomes both a physical wall and a test of how people explain the unknown.
