Judgment Along the Nile
The section opens with Xandir flying above the Nile in search of his next target after already carrying out a plague-centered assignment. Egypt becomes a stage on which celestial judgment collides with mortal religion, monuments, and Xandir’s increasingly theatrical personality.
The Destroyer Learns Technique
By this point Xandir is no longer new to destruction. He experiments with how his swords influence events and discovers that intention can shape the form a judgment takes, provided he does not contradict the order itself.
A Long Sentence Becomes Routine
The danger of this age is not merely violence. Xandir begins to normalize his work, making jokes and finding amusement in destruction. That emotional distance makes later moments of compassion more significant.
