Celestial Lore · Passage Between Realms
Jacob’s Ladder
The Conduit Between Worlds
- Function: bridges mortal and immortal worlds
- Users: angels and other heavenly beings
- Visibility: normally visible to immortal beings rather than ordinary mortals
- Structure: a series of rungs connected by a golden celestial pathway
- Downward continuation: informally called Jacob’s Chute toward the Jaws
A Real Transit Route
Within the series, Jacob’s Ladder is not only metaphor. It is a functioning conduit through which celestial travelers pass between Earth and the Heavenly Realms.
The Moon as the First Rung
Xandir identifies the moon as the first major rung and a high-traffic celestial checkpoint. Around the pathway stands a shifting complex of heavenly metal and glass invisible to mortal eyes.
The Ladder Continues Down
Ganosh reveals a lesser-known rule: the conduit does not stop at Earth. It continues downward toward the Jaws without the ladder-like rungs, a route the Giants jokingly call Jacob’s Chute.
