The End

An Age, Not a Single Day

  • Definition: a time period, not one precise moment
  • Xandir’s sentence: originally lasts until the End
  • Turning point: the High Seraph declares that the End has begun
  • Consequence: Xandir is released from Destroying Angel service and enters mortality

The Apocalypse Has Duration

Xandir spends millennia imagining the End as the boundary that will finally release him. The High Seraph overturns that expectation by explaining that the End is not a certain day or precise instant, but an extended period.

Ending and Beginning at Once

The beginning of the End closes Xandir’s old sentence while opening a new mortal assignment. The series therefore treats apocalypse less as a single explosion than as a transition into a final age.

Why the Definition Matters

This timing rule explains why prophecies can already be “at the End” while major events still remain ahead. The End is a season of culmination rather than a timestamp.
