Communication Built Into the Body
Azazel gives Xandir and Zeus the modules when he reassigns them as Angels of Reconnaissance. The small discs shrink, bond to the skin behind the ear, and embed themselves deeply enough to become part of the wearer’s surface.
Two-Way Contact
The modules are not simple receivers. A burning sensation warns of an incoming communication; touching the site lets the angel hear it. The wearer can also initiate contact by touching the implant and speaking, allowing field agents to report to their superior across great distances.
A Technology That Outlives Its Original Assignment
Long after the original reconnaissance mission, Xandir still experiences communication as sensations behind his ears. That continuity makes the implant one of the clearest examples of Heaven using technology-like tools alongside overt supernatural power.
