Who Is Captain Halverson?
Captain Halverson is the cheerful pilot who carries Johann, Brigitte, Molly, Rufus, Karsten, Jonathan, and their companions toward Berlin. He greets the unusual passengers with an easy smile and quickly becomes their guide to the unfamiliar experience of flight.
His cargo includes chocolate bars attached to small parachutes. As the aircraft approaches Berlin, Hal explains that he drops them for German children and wiggles the plane’s wings to announce their arrival.
