AZURAN WORSHIP
Testifying
The Azuran practice of proving devotion through notable deeds of Strength, Swiftness, or Sight—and recounting them before Rahim and the community.
Proof of Devotion
Clan Azura interprets ancient commands to offer Rahim proof of devotion through a practice called Testifying. Worshippers perform significant deeds associated with the Threefold Path and later recount those deeds publicly.
Hand, Foot & Eye
Formal Testifying uses three platforms bearing symbols of a hand, foot, and eye—Strength, Swiftness, and Sight. A worshipper stands on the appropriate platform, assumes the triangular posture of worship, and tells what was accomplished in that path.
Priests & Judgment
Azuran priests preside over the ritual and ask Rahim to accept the offering and show mercy to the worshipper on the Day of Judgment. Testifying therefore mixes public storytelling, moral identity, Clan culture, and preparation for divine judgment.
A Divergent Interpretation
The practice also illustrates how religious traditions diverged after the older sixfold order was lost. Azurans emphasize public deeds and spoken testimony; Dorian traditions preserve a quieter emphasis on written records and less visible service. Both appear to descend from older teachings about the same Threefold Path.
Corrupted Under the Dark Vessel
Decades later, followers of the Dark Vessel revive a form of Testifying around a ruler they can physically see. Competitive devotion becomes fanaticism as some followers seek ever more memorable deeds to recount, including acts of cruelty. The corrupted practice shows how a ritual of service can become a performance of loyalty when detached from its moral purpose.
