A Separate Supernatural Population
Within the fictional cosmology of The Last Archangel, demons are neither fallen Watchers nor Giants. They form a separate host with their own leaders, rivalries, assignments, and ways of operating in the mortal world.
Infiltration Before Open Conflict
Dusteater’s modern operation shows the strategic side of the host. Demons seek influential mortal bodies, coordinate reports, target leaders, and prepare conditions for a wider conflict rather than relying only on visible attacks.
A Hierarchy Full of Rivalry
The hierarchy is not perfectly unified. Sparkslinger can turn against Dusteater, Ashbreather remembers Dusteater’s cruelty, and alliances with the Brotherhood of Nod are treated as temporary arrangements rather than permanent loyalties.
