More Than a Promise

An Angelic Covenant transforms spoken terms into a supernatural bond. When Azazel binds Xandir and Zeus to the anti-Giant decree, the glow in his palm signals that the promise is not merely ceremonial. Breaking it carries consequences beyond ordinary discipline.

The Wording Matters

Because a Covenant enforces the terms that are actually sworn, characters listen closely for loopholes, limits, and hidden conditions. The mechanism rewards precise language and makes bargaining dangerous even when both parties distrust one another.

Fallen Does Not Mean Powerless

The prequel shows that even a fallen angel such as Hades can still seal an Angelic Covenant. That fact separates covenant-making from simple moral worthiness: the bond is part of angelic nature and law, not a badge that proves the speaker is righteous.
