Who Is Lorelei?
Lorelei is a legendary musical enchantress bound to the Rhine. For years her spirit exists in a statue above the river while her body remains sealed in ice beneath it. She survives the separation by using music to lure others into her hidden vault and drawing magical energy from the souls she traps there.
That history makes her dangerous, but not simple. Once Brigitta, Jorgen, and Karsten succeed in freeing her, Lorelei honors the bargain that brought them to her and gives each traveler a gift suited to the crisis ahead.
A Musicanter Who Sees Through People
Lorelei’s magic is deeply personal. She perceives wounds and desires that others hide, understands the flow of time, and can make an enchanted object carry a doorway between worlds. Her most intimate gift comes when she heals the grief that has haunted Jorgen for decades—while warning him that healing still requires future care.
Her story also expands the meaning of Musicanter. Musical enchantment is not merely a battlefield technique or a craft used by heroes. It can seduce, imprison, heal, reveal, and open paths between realities.
