The Princess in the Tower

Priscilla first enters the story under the name Rezella, a practical tower resident whose actual problem is plumbing rather than imprisonment. Sir Roderick misreads the situation as a conventional rescue and discovers that heroic assumptions can be more hazardous than monsters.

A Hidden Dragonborn

When hobgoblins threaten a large scaled egg, Priscilla reveals the truth. She is Dragonborn, the egg is her daughter, and her former name has become a source of frustration. Smoke leaks from her nose when irritated, and a prepared card warns strangers against mocking a Dragonborn name with too many vowels.

Her secrecy grew from difficulty accepting her true nature and fear of how others would respond. Sir Roderick’s acceptance helps her step into the identity she had been concealing.

Joining the Rod Squad

Priscilla volunteers for the mission to retake the palace and joins Roddy, Goat-Goat, Michelle, Grimblewaith, and Officer Glocke. She contributes practical questions, battlefield firepower, and a willingness to challenge Sir Roderick whenever the plan becomes too theatrical.

Fire Against Glass

Against the Needler’s glass golem, Priscilla follows behind Michelle’s stone defense and melts one of the creature’s legs with brilliant blue flame. A sudden counterattack leaves her gravely wounded.

Rather than withdraw, she asks Sir Roderick to protect her egg and then provokes the anger necessary to complete her transformation. White-hot fire surrounds her, revealing a sleek red dragon with burning eyes. She melts the golem’s weaponized arms and creates the opening for Goat-Goat to destroy it.

Sacrifice and Daughter

Priscilla dies after returning to human form. The Rod Squad honors her before continuing into the palace, and Sir Roderick keeps his promise by caring for her enormous egg in the tower.

Her later memorial is plated in gold among the heroes who gave their lives for the quest. Her legacy continues through the daughter she believed was destined for more than fear, concealment, or an omelet.

Chronicler’s note: Priscilla spent years hiding the dragon. In the end, revealing it saved everyone else.
