Rahim’s Scar
Ancient records connect the World Fissure to Rahim’s fall from the sky. The resulting wound stretches across the Realm on a scale so immense that even Jamith, who visits it, doubts anyone in his lifetime has truly plumbed its depths.
Source of Essence
For generations, the Fissure was associated with the magical resources that sustained civilization. Pure Essence once emerged from its depths and was eventually refined and concentrated into the Sustenance upon which Earthman society became dependent.
Potation and the Thirst
The Thirst reveals that the Fissure is also tied to a more ancient liquid nourishment. Dawn Potation—life-giving to the Etherman soul—once circulated through the Realm’s waters. The recovery of that flow transforms the Fissure from a symbol of catastrophe into a possible source of renewal.
Fissure Folk and Hidden Depths
Rumors of Fissure Folk, lost craft, hidden treasures, and forgotten routes make the chasm more than an empty scar. It is a frontier where the buried history of the Realm can still surface—and where old assumptions about who survived the ancient catastrophes begin to fail.
