Vessel of Orange
Reshel carries the Orange Aspect of Rahim, a combined Ether Aspect joining swiftness and sight. The pairing gives him unusual control over speed, perception, and precise magical action. He can even bend weather to reflect—or conceal—his intentions.
Charm and Manipulation
Reshel presents himself as urbane, witty, and reasonable. That surface is part of the danger. The Scarlet Aspect remembers him as deceptive, and Evelet quickly discovers that his power is not confined to the sky: he is adept at reading people, influencing them, and making treachery sound like cooperation.
The Plan of the Ether Aspects
Reshel explains that the Ether Aspects no longer seek humanity’s simple destruction. Instead, they envision survival under a single powerful leader formed by recombining the divided Aspects. That goal places him at the center of the argument over whether unity can be restored without recreating Rahim’s earlier catastrophes.
The Orange Keep
Reshel’s path converges with Evelet and Timotheus at the ancient Orange Keep, where the binding of Earthmen and Ethermen can be confronted. His knowledge and abilities are genuinely useful, which makes his betrayal more dangerous: the people who mistrust him still need what he knows.
